The Sudwala Caves are situated in the heart of the Mankelekele Mountains and are presumed to be the oldest known caves in the world. The caves are similar to the famous Cango Caves in the little Karoo. Over millions of years, water percolating from above has eroded the dolomites, forming large caverns adorned with strangely fashioned stalactites and stalagmites.
